| 1995 Ferrari F50 - Red (Hot Wheels) 1/18 Diecast Model Car
The Ferrari F50 is perhaps the only production car in the world to deliver its driver the experience and emotions of F1 racing. It combined unbeatable performance with pinpoint handling, even in unexpected circumstances! It boasts a mid-engined V12 with a 65° V layout and is made with a rounded rear window made of plexiglass, which contained intake ducts for cooling the engine. This feature also attracted attention: you could see the engine. Designed with 18" wide tires taken from the original five-spoke star hub, the new hubcaps were sculpted into beautifully refined stars and manufactured with magnesium, which gave them a richer look than the former alloy. New five-bolt hubs replaced the octagonal hubs.Created entirely from two very lightweight carbon fibers, it’s not surprising that it reached 60 mph in 3.7 seconds. The most remarkable features were the deeply scored air vents on the hood. The headlights were set in the fenders and covered with a clear polycarbonate fiber. The radiator air intake vent scored the elliptical nose cap of the Ferrari F50. Rectangular indicator lights were positioned on the upper-most part of the bumper, and directly beneath were two air intake ducts needed to cool the brakes. The rear spoiler stretches the width of the car to balance the negative lift of the under body. The back grille was covered with mesh and housed a pair of traditional round Ferrari taillights. The cockpit of the F50 was designed with functionality and ergonomics in mind. It was made with composite seats finished in leather.
