| 1970 Plymouth AAR 'Cuda 340 - Black w/ Rally Wheels - 1 of 2,500 (Ertl) 1/18 Diecast Model Car Mention "Mopar" to anyone lucky enough to have driven one of the brutish Dodges or Plymouths of the '60s and early '70s, and you're likely to be greeted by a faraway gaze and knowing smirk, as they recall fond memories of being pushed back in their seats by the force of the high-compression power they commanded with their right foot. Whether it was a tightly wound small-block or a ground-shaking big bore engine, the Hemis, Wedges and Rams led the movement that created some of the wildest muscle cars ever! The AAR (All American Racer) Barracuda was a one-year wonder, only being available in '70 because it was built for competing in the SCCA Trans-Am Racing Series. While there were quite a few differences between the racing and street versions, the showroom vehicles still came standard with side strobe-racing stripes, rear spolier and fiberglass hood. Under the hood rested the only available engine - the 340 Six-Pack with triple two-barrel carb configuration. This is the 'Upgraded Classics' series with flocked carpet, authentic hinges on doors and hood, more engine and interior details, Goodyear Polyglas GT tires, and working suspension!
