| 1969 MG MGB MK II Coupe - Red (AUTOart) 1/18 Diecast Model Car The MGB was the biggest-selling MG ever built at the original Abington factory. During its 18 years in production from 1962 until 1980, 386,961 roadtsers and 125,282 GT models were produced - a total of 512,243 cars. A semi-monocoque construction, the front wings, bonnet, boot and doors were all bolted to a welded body-shell. The MK II had a new transmisson with all-around synchromesh on all four gears and a front anti-roll bar. The engine was a 1.8 liter 4-cylinder pushrod OHV producing 94 bhp. The GT had a large hingfed tailgate that provided access to the load space inside, making it one of the earliest examples of the now-popular hatchback car!
