1969 McLaren M8B Can-Am Low Wing #54 - Oscar Kovaleski - 1 of 2,004 (GMP) 1/18 Diecast Model Car

Oscar Kovaleski was a character both on and off of the track. His off track hijinks earned him a reputation of a comedian in the pits. His offbeat humor brought a small glimpse of whimsy to the often too serious lifestyle of Can-Am racing. He is known for founding the Polish Racing Drivers of America organization, and wearing false fangs as he was driving his motor-home to scare passing fans. He even stirred up a lunch hour by organizing a Mechanics Creeper Race. Kovaleski and Adamowicz were much more that a Can-Am Racing team; this combination was an unstoppable force. The #54 Auto World Inc. McLaren M8B Low wing that Oscar owned and shared driving efforts with Tony was a prime example of the unmatched McLaren technology. The M8B was a favorite among the drivers, unfortunately it was short lived after the creation of the M8D in 1970. The #54 of this team was one of the most striking McLarens on the track with its bright orange paint and white and black lightning graphics.
